What You Need to Know About Our Colour Book Services v Our Colour Book service includes four-colour internal page and cover printing
For books with 80 pages or greater, you may elect to have text on the spine. For books with less than 80 pages, spine text is not an option.
To ensure glue adheres to the text pages for perfectbound books and they are bound securely, it is necessary to end the page image 6.0mm (.25 inches) short on the bind edge of the stock leaving this area free from toner coverage. Therefore, there will be a minimal gap on any image in the gutter on crossovers within the text block.
Colour Setting
Our colour books are printed using digital colour print engine technology and will render different colour shades than typical offset inks. The primary colours used in digital printing technology are Cyan, Magenta, Yellow & Black (CMYK). CMYK colour printing differs from offset printing processes that use prepared inks or monitors that display Red, Green & Blue (RGB). Consequently, a colour defined and displayed in the RGB colour space (i.e. your computer monitor) may look slightly different than one defined and displayed in the CMYK colour space.
It is important to remember that although you may have selected a Pantone Matching System (PMS) colour in your applications file, the actual colour may look different on your computer screen than on the printed piece you receive.
The best way to check and review colour from digital printing processes is to view a printed proof.
Due to our demand-driven manufacturing process, EsteemWorld Publication™ cannot manipulate any colour settings on files that have been submitted.
Printed Proof Copyolour Setting
EsteemWorld Publication™ requires that all Authors review a proof on each initial title submission to ensure print expectations are met. Therefore, Proofs are recommended
v Proof costs are set at a fixed cost for the cover along with a “per page” cost for the interior.
v When the Author approves a proof, the Author accepts responsibility for any and all content quality issues. The title will not be made available for printing until EsteemWorld Publication™ and the Author approve the proof.
We are confident that you will not get these book publishing prices from any other UK Self Publishing company. Reprint your book
We are able to reprint ‘Authors of out-of-print books’ who have chosen to bring their work back to life by scanning each page of their book as a graphic and recombining them in order and stored as a file on our system. Their existing book cover can be scanned & reproduced almost exactly, or they can take advantage of our professional book cover design service.
Please note
· We are able to make limited changes to a book, for example replacing preliminary pages from supplied Word files.
· Authors must be able to supply two copies of the book; one copy will be destroyed to scan while the other will be used as a reference guide.
· When you decide to reprint your book, you are stating that you legally have rights to publish it. You are also asserting that you have rights to the text, page design and book cover design and you agree to EsteemWorld Publication™ terms & conditions of business.
· We strongly advise you to obtain a signed revision of rights letter from the previous publisher of the book, for your own protection.
